It was probably Gretzky's worst game as a pro. Was invisible when the team needed him most.
We used to be a proper country…
Yikes, the Leafs turned into pylons.... Somehow that play ended up being a 2 on. 0
Connor McDavid needs lessons on being a man and not being such a cry baby. Ron Hextall is a good example. All those fans who traveled, his family waiting for pictures.... ZERO class Connor McDavid. That is the reason you have no cups.
Someone has to put Dennis the Menace (1986 TV series) to the CBS Broadcast Archives fandom page when season 2 aired on Saturday Mornings on the network from January 2 to September 10, 1988.
We played this theme at LewisFest ‘08! Paul Gillis joined us onstage! xoxo The Clarences
I was there when The Clarences played this song at LewisFest '08 in San Francisco. Paul Gillis joined them on stage for guest vocals.
Wind Beneath My Wings, Bette Midler. I was 17 here and remember it like yesterday watching this series. Where did 35 years go.
Never liked him when he was playing but what a Legend.
John Muckler belongs in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
But Guys, I Hope they would posting all full episodes from The All New Popeye Hour on Paramount Plus, and I Hope they would posting all full episodes from Popeye and Son on Paramount Plus 😔
Canadian legend

Rest in peace Dutchy. Such a huge part of my adolescence ❤
that intro is so 90s it's 80s
RIP Dutchy
RIP Dutchy
RIP Dutchy 😔
This so feels like Don dunking of the future post Coach Corner era of awful woke hockey coverage.
I clearly remember him openly pondering retirement on national TV in the immediate aftermath of Game 5. Sure, he was disappointed and all - it turned out to be his last crack at a Cup, too - but I never liked how he did that when the focus should've been on the Habs' epic 24th win. Even more epic as the years pass and no Canadian teams have won since (though 6 have made it to the finals since...VAN 1994, CGY 2004, EDM 2006, OTT 2007, VAN 2011, and MTL 2021).
Wow, Gene Principe looks so young! Crazy this was 24 years ago.
How is the intro different
Now is the intro different?
This isbwhat I remember about the theme, you could never enjoy because of the dam announcements interrupting it..
What a way to close out 1989
Well it turned out everyones a addict now from all the beer sponcers/commercails they showed during this era
I'd pay to have the entire suite of HNIC musical numbers from that era.
"Who you gonna call for real ghostbusting? Why, "The Real Ghostbusters", who else? Catch their Saturday morning debut next. And tomorrow, come to an ordinary house with a not-so ordinary resident. Beware of "Mr. Boogedy" on the "Disney Sunday Movie". Wednesday afternoon, Charlie and Jed, best friends until a secret drives one to suicide. "A Desperate Exit" on the season premiere of the "ABC Afterschool Special". Parents are encouraged to watch and discuss it with their children."
In 1988, Dennis the Menace premiered its second season on Saturday Mornings on CBS, while airing on syndicated stations at the same time.
There was nothing better than Saturday night listening to Bob Cole on HNIC

Does anybody have Gretzky’s final game in Edmonton from 98-99 season?
Oh man.. This brings back memories.
Ultimately, the Oilers went on to win the NHL World Title.
Alan Bester stood 5'7. Maybe shorter. I know Darren Pang was only 5'5. Shortest player in modern hockey is Theo Fleury at 5'4.
Fleury was 5’6. Bobby Lalonde was 5’5.

A magical year for the Nucks and dark days for Edm
The Canadiens won the Stanley Cup in June of that year. Also, a week after this game was broadcast, the Toronto Blue Jays won their second straight World Series! 🤯
So happy for the Oilers at that time how they manhandled the Bruins in that series
